Both Joy versions use a 1,000-watt BLDC motor with a quoted top speed of 45–50 km/h, and both claim 80–90 km of range in Eco mode. The standard Joy uses a 72V 32Ah graphene battery. The Joy Max switches to a 76.8V 27Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a battery management system, and comes with a 76.8V 5Ah charger. eveon says either version uses about 2.3 units of electricity per full charge. The official pages do not give charging times.
eveon does not publish dimensions, weight or seat height for the Joy, but the scooter is clearly aimed at everyday city use. Both versions run on 10-inch wheels: the Joy on alloy rims and the Joy Max on tubeless tyres. Both brake with a front disc and a rear drum. Reverse gear makes parking easier, and a side stand sensor helps prevent riding off with the stand down. eveon calls the Joy user-friendly and low-maintenance. In our view, its modest speed and power make it a sensible first electric scooter for students and office commuters on short to medium routes.
The Joy comes with cruise control, reverse gear, the side stand sensor, alloy rims and front disc and rear drum brakes. The Joy Max has the same brakes, cruise control, reverse gear and side stand sensor, and adds an NFC card key, keyless start, an anti-theft alarm, tubeless tyres and the battery management system. Neither model page mentions a removable battery, so assume you will charge the scooter where you park it unless the dealer says otherwise.
The Joy has a 24-month motor warranty and 18 months on the battery and controller, which the October 2026 price list also confirms. The Joy Max page lists the 24-month motor warranty but does not state battery or controller cover, so ask for it in writing before you buy.
Our opinion: the standard Joy is the value choice. At Rs 184,000 it offers the same motor, top speed and claimed range as the Joy Max. The extra Rs 45,000 for the Max mostly buys the LFP battery, keyless NFC access and the anti-theft alarm. If you park in a public place, the alarm and NFC key may be worth paying for; otherwise the Joy does the same daily job for less. Also compare the Joy Max with the Pronto Plus (Rs 204,000) and the Pronto Max (Rs 249,000), which have a stronger 1,200-watt motor.
