Zeekr 009 overview and our opinion

Battery and motors

The Zeekr 009 is a fully electric luxury MPV and the flagship of the Zeekr range in Pakistan. It is imported by Capital Smart Motors (CSM) and uses a 116 kWh battery with an official WLTP range of 582 km. CSM quotes 604 hp, 546 Nm of torque and a 0–100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds, which is very quick for a vehicle of this size. Launch reports quoted a different torque figure, so check the exact output with the dealer.

Size and practicality

This is a very large vehicle: 5,209 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,740 mm tall according to CSM, with a 3,205 mm wheelbase reported at launch. It is offered as a 7-seater (Luxury) or a 6-seater (Ultra Luxury), and CSM also mentions sliding rear doors and a built-in refrigerator. In our view it is aimed at chauffeur-driven owners and families who value rear-seat comfort above everything else, and its size will need care in tight city streets and parking spaces.

Equipment by variant

CSM lists airline-class rear seats with zero-gravity reclining, massage and ventilation, a 30-speaker Yamaha sound system, air suspension, a full-length panoramic glass roof and dual 15.4-inch screens for front and rear entertainment, powered by a Qualcomm 8295 chip. Driver assistance is described as Level 2.5, with highway pilot, automatic parking and more than 15 safety functions. The main difference between the two versions is the seating: the Luxury has seven seats, while the Ultra Luxury has six seats in a captain’s lounge layout that gives second-row passengers more space.

Warranty

CSM lists a 5-year or 100,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 150,000 km battery warranty, whichever comes first, supported by its 3S sales, service and spare parts facility.

Price and which variant to buy

The Luxury 7-Seater costs PKR 45,999,000 and the Ultra Luxury 6-Seater costs PKR 48,999,000 ex-warehouse, with 1% CVT added. Our opinion: if the 009 will mostly carry one or two important passengers in the second row, the Ultra Luxury’s captain’s lounge layout justifies the extra PKR 3 million. Families who regularly need the seventh seat should choose the Luxury, which has the same battery, range and performance for less money.
