Honri Ve overview and our opinion

Battery and motor

The Honri Ve is a small, locally assembled electric hatchback sold in two versions. Honri’s Pakistani website now calls them the i200 and i300, while dealers and price lists still use Ve 2.0 and Ve 3.0. The Ve 2.0 (i200) has an 18.5 kWh battery, a 30 kW motor and a claimed CLTC range of 200 km. The Ve 3.0 (i300) uses a lithium-iron-phosphate battery with IP67 dust and water protection, a 35 kW motor and a claimed CLTC range of 300 km; its battery is widely reported as 29.9 kWh. Both have a top speed of 100 km/h, a single-speed automatic with a dial-type E-Gear selector, Eco and Sport modes, and regenerative braking. A full home charge takes about seven hours, and the Ve 3.0 is reported to accept DC fast charging (10–80% in about 30 minutes), which the Ve 2.0 does not.

Size and practicality

Reported dimensions are 3,517 mm long, 1,495 mm wide and 1,660 mm tall, on a 2,495 mm wheelbase with 130 mm of ground clearance. That is compact for city parking, and the tall roof helps headroom. Honri lists five doors and five seats for the i300, although the narrow body makes it best suited to four adults. Both versions ride on 15-inch wheels. Honri does not publish a boot size.

Equipment by variant

Both versions get a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument display, air conditioning, power steering, a two-tone cabin, ABS with EBD, airbags, tyre pressure monitoring and ISOFIX child seat mounts. Launch reports also list rear parking sensors, speed-sensing door locks, automatic unlocking after a crash and a low-speed pedestrian warning sound. Differences between the two are mainly the battery, motor and range, plus small styling details such as the headlamp type. Honri lists seven colours, with Charcoal Grey shown only for the i300.

Warranty

Dealers and press reports quote a 3-year or 100,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 120,000 km battery warranty, whichever comes first. Honri’s own model pages do not spell this out, so confirm the terms in writing when booking.

Which variant to buy

In our opinion, the Ve 2.0 makes sense only for buyers who drive short, predictable city routes and can charge at home every night, since 200 km is a test-cycle figure and real-world range will be lower, especially with the AC on. For most buyers we would pick the Ve 3.0: the extra Rs 800,000 buys a longer-lasting LFP battery, about 50% more range, slightly more power and DC fast charging, which makes intercity trips and charging away from home far more realistic. Either way, check charging options near your home and work, and the availability of service and parts in your city, before booking.
