ARCFOX T5

Battery, motor and range

The ARCFOX T5 is a range-extended electric vehicle (REEV). Its electric motor always drives the wheels, while a 1.5-litre petrol engine works only as a generator to recharge the 27.4 kWh battery. Sazgar quotes 268 hp and 365 Nm, a pure-electric range of 193 km on the NEDC cycle and a combined range of up to 1,060 km with a full tank and a charged battery. The 47-litre fuel tank means long motorway trips do not depend on finding a charger. According to the launch figures, DC fast charging takes the battery from 20% to 80% in under 15 minutes. Both variants share exactly the same powertrain, so there is no difference in performance or range between them.

Size and practicality

At 4,760 mm long, 1,936 mm wide and 1,650 mm tall, on a 2,845 mm wheelbase, the T5 is larger than most compact SUVs sold in Pakistan, including the Haval H6. It seats five, the rear seat splits 60:40, and the cabin is finished in black or brown. Exterior colours listed at launch are white and black. A single-piece fixed glass roof runs over both rows of seats.

Equipment by variant

The standard T5 REEV comes with a fixed panoramic glass roof, an 18-speaker sound system, a floating touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display, multi-colour ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control and a Level 2 driver-assistance suite that includes emergency lane keeping, rear collision warning and door opening warning. Outside there are LED headlights with mesh-style daytime running lights, an illuminated logo, flush door handles, active grille shutters, roof rails and 19-inch alloy wheels. The T5 REEV Apex adds a massage function for the front seats. Launch coverage also mentions heated and ventilated front seats and an 8-way power passenger seat on the top variant.

Warranty

Brochure details reported at launch list a 6-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty for the battery system. One listing quotes 240,000 km for the battery instead, so confirm the terms with the dealer before booking.

Price and which variant to buy

The standard T5 REEV costs Rs 10,195,000 and the Apex Rs 10,495,000, both ex-factory. Booking amounts are Rs 2,050,000 and Rs 2,100,000, with delivery expected in three to four months. Our opinion: because the Rs 300,000 difference buys comfort features rather than more power or range, the standard T5 is the better value for most buyers. Choose the Apex only if front massage seats matter to you or you spend long hours behind the wheel.
