Engine and gearbox

Despite the 70 badge, United’s official specification sheet lists a displacement of 78cc for the US 70. It is a four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled OHC engine with an 8.1:1 compression ratio, driving the rear wheel through a 4-speed gearbox. United does not publish power, torque, top speed or fuel economy figures for this bike, so we have not repeated unverified numbers from other websites. The engine takes 0.7 litres of oil, which keeps oil changes cheap.

Size and practicality

The US 70 follows the familiar 70cc commuter layout seen all over Pakistan. It rides on 17-inch wheels with a 2.25-17 front tyre and a 2.50-17 rear tyre, and it stops with mechanical drum brakes at both ends. The fuel tank holds 8.5 litres and the electrics run on a 12-volt battery. United does not list overall dimensions, weight, seat height or ground clearance for this model, so buyers who are short or carrying heavy loads should sit on one at the dealer before deciding.

Equipment by variant

United’s July 2025 price circular lists four versions. The Standard is the cheapest and uses a kick starter. The Alloy Rim swaps the spoked wheels for alloy wheels and keeps the kick starter. The Self Start adds an electric starter, and the Alloy Rim & Self Start combines both upgrades. United does not describe any other equipment differences, and the official website only has full specification pages for the Standard and Alloy Rim versions.

Price and warranty

The official website does not show prices. Under United’s circular effective 1 July 2025, the Standard costs Rs 111,000, the Alloy Rim Rs 121,000, the Self Start Rs 122,000 and the Alloy Rim & Self Start Rs 132,000, including sales tax and the NEV levy. News reports say United raised 70cc prices by another Rs 3,000 from 11 April 2026, so confirm the final figure with your dealer. United’s website does not publish warranty terms, so ask the dealer to give them to you in writing.

Which variant to buy

Our view: the Standard makes the most sense if you want the lowest buying and running cost and don’t mind kick-starting. If you ride in stop-start city traffic every day, or the bike is shared by several family members, the Self Start is worth the extra Rs 11,000 over the Standard. Alloy wheels are mostly a looks upgrade, so we would only stretch to the Alloy Rim & Self Start if the budget allows. Whichever you pick, compare the on-road price and the strength of the local dealer and workshop network with 70cc rivals from Honda, Road Prince and Unique before you book.
