The US 150 is the largest petrol motorcycle in United’s range. The official specification sheet lists a 149cc four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a 9.1:1 compression ratio, and United’s homepage describes it as an SOHC design. It is the only United motorcycle with a 5-speed gearbox, and it offers both kick and electric starting. The engine takes 1.25 litres of oil. United does not publish power, torque, top speed or fuel economy.
United lists the US 150 at 1,900 mm long, 710 mm wide and 1,040 mm high, the same figures it gives for the US 125, so these may need checking. The 13-litre fuel tank is the largest in United’s petrol range and should give a useful range for highway riders. It runs 18-inch tyres front and rear, sized 80/100-18 and 90/90-18, with a disc brake at the front and a mechanical drum at the rear. Weight, seat height and ground clearance are not published.
There is one version. Compared with United’s smaller bikes it adds the front disc brake, the fifth gear, the self starter alongside the kick lever and wider modern-sized tyres. It uses a 12-volt battery. When it was launched in 2023, motoring press noted that its styling takes cues from the Honda CB150F. United does not list any digital instruments, LED lighting or other convenience features on the official page. Our view: since every other United petrol bike uses drum brakes at both ends, the front disc is the most meaningful upgrade here.
United’s website does not show prices. Under United’s circular effective 1 July 2025, the US 150 costs Rs 299,000 including sales tax and the NEV levy. Reports of United’s April 2026 price increase mentioned only the 70cc, 100cc and 125cc models, but you should still confirm the current price with a dealer. United does not publish warranty terms on its website, so get them in writing from the dealer.
With only one version on sale, the choice is whether the US 150 is worth it over a 125. Our view: if you ride long distances or on highways, the extra gear, larger tank and front disc brake make it a more relaxed and safer-feeling choice than a US 125. Riders who mainly commute in town will save a lot of money with a 125. Before buying, compare it with 150cc rivals from Honda and Suzuki, and check spare-parts availability at your local United dealer.
