Engine and gearbox

United’s petrol scooter uses a 100cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine with forced-air cooling, which is the usual set-up for scooters where the engine sits under bodywork. The transmission is listed as auto-clutched, so there is no clutch lever to work in traffic, and it starts with a push button. United does not publish power, torque, top speed or fuel economy figures, so we have not included them.

Size and practicality

United lists the scooter at 1,870 mm long, 650 mm wide and 1,140 mm high, with a 1,240 mm wheelbase and a net weight of 91 kg. The 725 mm seat height is low, which should help shorter riders and those who wear long clothes put their feet down easily. It runs on alloy wheels with a 90/90-12 front tyre and a 3.50-10 rear tyre. The fuel tank holds 5.5 litres, which is small, so expect to fill up more often than on a motorcycle.

Equipment

There is one version. United’s specification sheet lists a disc brake, without saying whether it is at the front, rear or both, plus alloy wheels and electric push-button starting. The page does not list storage space, lighting type, instruments or a charging port, so check these in person if they matter to you. Our view: the low seat and lack of gears make this one of the easiest United models for new riders to learn on, but before you buy, check that your nearest United workshop services and stocks parts for the scooter.

Price and warranty

United’s website does not show prices. Under United’s circular effective 1 July 2025, the US 100 Scooter costs Rs 273,500 including sales tax and the NEV levy. Reports of United’s April 2026 price increase mentioned 100cc motorcycles but did not name the scooter, so confirm the current price with a dealer. United does not publish warranty terms on its website; ask the dealer for them in writing.

Which variant to buy

There is only one version. Our view: the US 100 Scooter suits riders who want the easy, gear-free riding and low seat of a scooter but still want petrol refuelling instead of charging. At Rs 273,500 it costs more than United’s US 125 Euro II motorcycle and more than several electric scooters, so it makes most sense for riders who cannot charge at home. If you can charge overnight, compare it with electric scooters from Yadea, Evee and United’s own Pro range, which have lower running costs.
