The Saige N21 is the most expensive model in Saige’s Pakistani line-up. It shares its 60V, 1200W motor and 60V 24Ah graphene battery with the cheaper models; PakWheels lists the battery at 1.44 kWh. PakWheels quotes a claimed range of 75 km, a top speed of 55 km/h and 7 Nm of torque. A dealer claims up to 100 km and up to 65 km/h, while Saige’s Islamabad showroom quotes 60 to 70 km and 60 km/h. In our opinion, the lower figures are the safer guide for daily planning. A full charge takes about 8 hours and, according to a dealer, uses roughly 2 units of electricity.
PakWheels lists the N21 at 1770 mm long, 730 mm wide and 1070 mm tall, with a 1150 mm wheelbase, 130 mm of ground clearance and a dry weight of 88 kg. These figures are exactly the same as those PakWheels lists for the C200, so they may have been copied and should be checked against the actual scooter. It uses 10-inch wheels with 3.00-10 tyres, and a dealer quotes a 15-degree climbing ability with a 75 kg rider. Seat height and storage space are not published.
The N21 comes in one version. Dealer listings mention 180 mm disc brakes front and rear, an LED display and a media player, the same equipment listed for the C200, E90 and N300. PakWheels lists grey and white paint, while a dealer brochure listing mentions red and cream. PakWheels’ editors list modern styling and a comfortable ride as its strengths. In our view, styling is the main reason to choose it over cheaper Saige models.
PakWheels lists a 15-month battery warranty for the N21. Motor, controller and frame cover is not published for this model. One dealer’s N300 listing quotes two years on the motor and frame, so it is worth asking whether the N21 gets the same, and getting it in writing.
PakWheels and one dealer list the N21 at Rs 278,000, while Saige’s Islamabad showroom shows Rs 268,000. In our opinion, the N21 is hard to justify on specifications alone: it costs Rs 78,000 more than the C200 on PakWheels with the same listed motor, battery and range. Buy it if you prefer its look and your dealer offers a good price; otherwise the E90 or N300 give similar performance for less money.
